The Four Corners Monument is one of the most well-known and popular tourist attraction sites in the Southwestern United States.

This monument is the quadripoint where the states of Arizona, Utah, Colorado and New Mexico all meet. Folks who visit the monument will find themselves standing in the exact area where those four states connect.

The Four Corners Monument is made up of granite and brass. This historic site opened in 1931 and welcomes around 250,000 visitors annually, according to The Gazette newspaper in Colorado Springs.

One reason this monument is historically significant? It’s the only quadripoint in the United States. That is, it’s the only area in the entire country where four different states come together for a meeting point.

As visitors embark on their explorations, they can also complement their experiences by engaging with BetMGM Arizona Bonus Codes, ensuring that their adrenaline-fueled escapades are accompanied by the thrill of placing bets and the potential for lucrative wins.

Arizona is one of the national leaders in the sports betting industry. The BetMGM Arizona sportsbook is running a promo where new customers can place a first bet offer of up to $1,000, and they offer a variety of betting options. This includes prop bets, futures, moneylines, future wagers and point spreads.

Among the top upcoming sporting events in Arizona: The Native American Basketball Invitational (NABI), North America’s biggest Native American basketball tournament — which is open to high school students. This year, it runs from July 17 to 23 in Phoenix, beginning with the Meet & Greet event on the 17th.

Per the official NABI website, more than 1,300 students participate in the tournament which consists of more than 400 games. 2023 is the milestone 20-year anniversary for the invitational, which launched in 2003.

If you enjoy the outdoors and breathtaking nature sites, then the Four Corners region is just for you.

Arizona is home to many of the nation’s most beautiful hiking and camping trails. This of course includes the 277-mile-long Grand Canyon, one of America’s most popular tourist attractions that welcomes close to six million visitors annually.

Speaking of beautiful nature sites, the Chaco Culture National Historical Park (located in the San Juan County and McKinley County parts of New Mexico) is the place to be if you enjoy outdoor activities. The park itself is listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

White Rim Road in Moab, Utah is another beautiful area of nearly 100 miles that offers visitors a wide range of recreational activities, including hiking, biking and camping areas.

Sporting Events Around The Four Corners

Sports fans visiting The Four Corners Monument and area will be able to enjoy all sorts of different sporting activities here.

The states of Colorado and Arizona each have a sports team in the “big four” North American professional sports league.

Colorado has the NFL’s Denver Broncos, the 2023 NBA Champion Denver Nuggets, the NHL’s Colorado Avalanche and the Colorado Rockies of Major League Baseball.

Arizona Cardinals NFL American football team

The Desert State has the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals, the NBA’s Phoenix Suns, the NHL’s Arizona Coyotes as well as the Arizona Diamondbacks of Major League Baseball. The state of Utah also has the NBA’s Jazz, a longtime fixture in the association’s basketball playoff picture.

Among the four major professional sports leagues, the MLB is the only one currently in action. But NFL preseason play is just around the corner, and come mid-October, the states of Arizona and Colorado will be enjoying the NFL, NBA and NHL — and potentially MLB postseason play if the Rockies and/or Diamondbacks make it that far.

The Broncos will open their 2023 season with a home tilt against the AFC West rival Las Vegas Raiders on Sept. 10. The Cardinals will open their campaign on the road against the Washington Commanders on the same day, with their home opener taking place seven days later against the New York Giants.

While the Rockies have endured a tough 2023 season, the D-Backs have been among MLB’s biggest surprises. They are neck-and-neck with the annual powerhouse Los Angeles Dodgers for first in the NL West.

The Avalanche, Nuggets, Coyotes and Suns will begin their respective 2023-24 seasons in October. The Avalanche will host the Chicago Blackhawks in their home opener on Oct. 19, while the Coyotes will welcome the Anaheim Ducks in their home opener on Oct. 21.
