Manchester is such a popular place due to having so many great attractions. There is something for all interests and occasions, whether it’s a romantic weekend away with a loved one or a fun city break with a group of friends.

If you are planning a weekend away to the city of Manchester, it’s a good idea to plan out your activities in advance. With so many options to choose from, having a rough itinerary will help to make sure you get the most out of your time there.

Here are some ideas for great things to do over a couple of days in Manchester:

Enjoy some casino gaming

Whether it’s placing your bets on the Irish lottery or spinning the reels on online slots, many people enjoy gambling and betting games. Manchester is known to be a top destination for casino gaming with its fantastic range of venues to choose from throughout the city,

Have fun at Urban Playground

The Urban Playground is the ideal place to celebrate a birthday or other special occasion with friends, there are lots of different activities to try all in one place. After all that, you might have worked up an appetite and can head to food outlet The Butcher for the ultimate burger with signature sauces and homemade buns.

Sale Water Park

Located in the south of the city, Sale Water Park is a beautiful open space that is ideal for walks and sports activities. There is a water sports centre offering everything from paddleboarding and kayaking to windsurfing and sailing.

You can hire bikes and follow signposted cycle routes around the park and ride alongside the canals. For a bite to eat there is the lakeside Boathouse Restaurant or Jacksons Boat Pub on the banks of the River Mersey.
