Set within the grounds of UNESCO‑listed Blenheim Palace, Blenheim Palace Christmas Market feels suitably grand. Chalet stalls line the Great Court with artisan crafts and fine foods to match the setting.
Blenheim Palace Christmas Market 2025
The Blenheim Palace Christmas Market returns as part of the Blenheim at Christmas Experience, drawing huge crowds to one of Oxfordshire’s most festive attractions. In 2024, around sixty wooden chalets filled the Great Court, where visitors browsed for hand-picked gifts, artisan crafts, and gourmet treats while enjoying seasonal drinks and live entertainment. Based on last year’s figures, more than 200,000 people visited the market, with weekend numbers peaking at 10,000 visitors a day. Although the market itself is free to enter, over 300,000 tickets were sold for the Palace tours, Light Trail, or a combination of both experiences.
For 2025, Blenheim Palace will be transformed into a dazzling “Palace of Oz”, inspired by L. Frank Baum’s The Wizard of Oz. Guests can follow Dorothy’s yellow brick road through the Palace, meeting the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Cowardly Lion along the way. Each room will recreate a magical moment from the beloved story, offering a truly immersive experience.
Alongside, ‘Christmas at Blenheim’ adds a themed indoor trail and a glittering light walk through the grounds. Woodstock’s pubs and tearooms make charming pit stops before or after. Drive via the A44 (use event signage for parking) or come by train to Oxford and hop on a bus. Evenings are most atmospheric for the lights; daytime suits focused shopping. For travellers who like their festivities stately and photogenic, Blenheim is a standout.
