Bridlington Kite Festival, UK 2022
May 21 - May 22
The Bridlington Kite Festival close to the popular Yorkshire coastal resort returns to its traditional May weekend this year after being held in September in 2021.
There will be a wide array of kites in various different colours and designs over the two days of the festival that will soar into the skies above Sewerby Fields near Bridlington in Yorkshire. Expect frogs, snakes, lizards and even dragons leap into the air as Yorkshire’s normally leaden skies are given a dash of colour of which local hero David Hockney might approve.
In addition to demonstrations from professional kite flyers, you can have a go at flying a kite, which are available to be hired out under supervision.

Food stalls include: George’s Caribbean Kitchen, Mr Roberts Traditional Fish & Chips, Love Hog Roast and The Two Tossers Neapolitan-style Pizzas. Music will come from Hull folk band Spare Hands. The RNLI will also have a stall at the show.
