Christmas in the Country (Hamburg Fairgrounds) 2026, Buffalo, USA

Christmas Market

A Western New York tradition for 40+ years, Christmas in the Country fills multiple halls at the Hamburg Fairgrounds.

If you’re looking for a festive reason to visit Western New York this November, Christmas in the Country is back—and this year there are two weekends to enjoy it.

Now in its 43rd year, the much-loved holiday artisan market takes over the Hamburg Fairgrounds with more than 450 artisans spread across five buildings. The big change for 2026 is that the event runs across two weekends, with a different selection of vendors each time.

The first weekend runs November 5–8, followed by November 13–15. Many popular artisans will return, but each weekend brings new makers and discoveries, making a second visit worthwhile.

Expect plenty of inspiration for Christmas shopping, from handmade jewellery, pottery and candles to home décor, festive decorations, gourmet food, children’s gifts and treats for pets. Better still, you can meet the artists and makers behind the products and hear the stories behind their work.

There’s more than shopping, too. Visitors can sample wines and spirits from local producers before heading to the Food Truck Rodeo for something to eat.

Complimentary return passes mean you can come back during the same weekend—and shopping here also supports independent businesses and local non-profits.

With more than four decades of history, Christmas in the Country has become a genuine Western New York holiday tradition. Whether you’re hunting for unique gifts or simply want a festive day out, it’s an easy one to add to your November itinerary.
