One of the largest arts festivals in the world, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe takes place in the Scottish capital from 1 to 25 August, 2025.

The world’s oldest fringe festival runs alongside the Edinburgh Festival. This year there will be some 670 shows during the Fringe. Details of what’s on at the 2025 Fringe can be found here.

Expect theatre, cabaret, musicals, circus, comedy, dance, spoken words and free performances (as well as pay-as-you-like shows), as the world takes to the streets of Auld Reekie.
