Edinburgh Food Festival 2019
July 19 - July 28
The 5th Edinburgh Food Festival returns to the Assembly George Square Gardens this July. The only Edinburgh food market festival held in the Scottish capital’s city centre, the 2019 festival has twice the schedule compared with last year’s event.
Festivalgoers can meet local producers, experience chef demonstrations and sample food from more than 20 stalls, featuring some of Scotland’s finest food and drink producers.
This is foodie Edinburgh paradise; the place to taste the full Scottish larder. Last year, some 25,000 visitors attended the festival and 2019 promises to be better and bigger.
Food at the Edinburgh Food Festival
Expect the best Berwickshire pies from Jarvis Pickle, or a unique seafood and ice cream experience from Alandas Gelato and Fish and Chips (see cover photo) of Prestonpans, as well as Caribbean and Mexican-inspired street food, falafels from Chick & Pea, and Kebabbar’s kebabs. All this washed down with Argyll’s Fyn Ales.
A list of the street food and drink on offer can be found here.
Entrance to the festival, as well as to the talks, is free.
