If you’re planning a festive visit, the Leeds Christmas Markets make unmissable highlights. From 21 November to 21 December 2025, up to 60 beautifully decorated chalets will take over City Square, Leeds, accompanied by two bars — The Ranch and The Windmill — where you can soak up the season’s cheer.

There are several Christmas Markets in Leeds: Leeds Christmas Market at City Square, Little Bird Artisan Markets and Millennium Square Christmas. There are also several pop up Christmas markets in Leeds.

City Square hosts decorated huts and street food, while Millennium Square adds the popular Ice Cube at Christmas skating rink and family attractions. It’s a compact, walkable set‑up right by the railway station and the elegant shopping arcades.

What to Expect at Leeds Christmas Markets

Expect bratwursts, Yorkshire vendors, artisan gifts and live music that ramps up on weekends. For a relaxed browse, go midweek or earlier in the day; for atmosphere, aim for Thursday or Friday evenings and warm up with a hot chocolate in covered seating areas. Combine with nearby museums or an afternoon in the Victoria Quarter for quintessential Leeds style. With reliable transport and a balanced mix of food, gifts and skating, Leeds is a strong all‑rounder.

In addition, from 20 November to 23 December, the popular Little Bird Artisan Market at Bond Court Leeds brings local makers, handcrafted gifts and seasonal treats to the city centre.

Meanwhile at Millennium Square and Victoria Gardens (and surrounding Cookridge Street), the fun continues even after the chalets close. Here you’ll find festive stalls, a carousel, a Big Wheel, the outdoor ice-rink “Ice Cube”, and even the cosy Thor’s Tipi to warm up in. These attractions run from 21 November to 31 December.

Highlights of Leeds Christmas Markets

  • The chalets in City Square offer everything from artisan crafts to sizzled street food and warming mulled drinks — perfect for gift-hunting or relaxing in festive surroundings.

  • The Little Bird Artisan Market is ideal if you’re after something small-batch, handmade and local — think creative makers, tasty treats and a lively atmosphere.

  • For families, Millennium Square’s rides, Big Wheel and ice-skating make it a full-on festive day out — whether you skate, ride or simply soak up the lights.
