From 22–25 May 2026, Leipzig once again becomes a lively meeting point for beer lovers as the 27th Leipzig Beer Exchange returns over the Pentecost weekend. Set against the impressive backdrop of the Monument to the Battle of the Nations, this long-running festival transforms the square into a relaxed, sociable open-air beer garden.

Around 50 exhibitors will be showcasing an impressive 500 beers from across the globe, offering visitors the chance to sample everything from local brews to international favourites. It’s a celebration designed for discovery as much as enjoyment, with plenty to tempt curious tasters and seasoned enthusiasts alike.

The atmosphere is one of the festival’s biggest draws. Carefully arranged beer gardens create a laid-back, welcoming setting where visitors can unwind with friends and family, enjoying the early summer vibe in the heart of Leipzig.

Traditionally, the event is officially opened on Friday by the Communalgarde zu Leipzig alongside invited guests, setting the tone for a sociable and festive weekend.

Best of all, entry to the entire event site is completely free, making it an easy and accessible stop for anyone visiting the city over the holiday weekend.
