One of the highlights of the Italian festival season is the Lucca Summer Festival held in the beautiful Tuscan town. This year Bryan Adams, Santana, Jennifer Lopez, Scorpions, Nick Cave, Robert Plant, Alanis Morissette, Pet Shop Boys and Simple Minds will be performing.

The music festival is held within the ancient walls of Lucca which create a magical backdrop for this musical spectacle. The concerts are held in the Piazza Napoleone in the heart of the old town (see main photo).

History of the Lucca Music Festival

The original festival was held in 1998 with Bob Dylan headlining. In the past Elton John, David Bowie, Paul Simon, Eric Clapton and Ed Sheeran have performed.
