Inspired by the Marathon du Medoc, the Marathon du Malton returns to the streets of Yorkshire’s foodie town on 23 October, 2022.
“Britain’s Tastiest 10k”, the Marathon du Malton takes runners and walkers around the fields surrounding Malton with food and drink stops on the way.
Choose from local beer or gin, and roast beef served with Yorkshire Puds, washed down with great wine. There will also be macarons made by the UK pastry champion.
Entering the Malton 10k
Registration opens at 9am in the Market Place, with the ‘run’ commencing at 10:30am.
There are three races:
‘Sans Arret’ race at 10:30 – for more seasoned athletes;
‘Classique’ race at 12:30pm – which adopts a more laidback and tasting approach;
‘Escargot’ race at 12:40pm – excellent for gourmands, dog walkers and kids.
Fancy Dress
Fancy dress is de rigueur, with prices for the best costumes, except for those competing in the sans arret race.
Other Activities
Malton will be full of food and drink stalls for those not participating, as well as music from the New York Brass Band and entertainment for all the family until around 5pm.

Getting to the Marathon du Malton
Disabled toilets, parking and other facilities are available. Malton is on the award-winning Coastliner bus route.
