The Telluride Blues & Brews Festival is held in September in the glorious town of Telluride nestled in the Rocky Mountains. Over the years it has drawn some of the greatest rock and blues musicians as well as the finest draft beer and cider producers from around the United States.
History of the Telluride Blues & Brews Festival
The original Blues music festival was held in 1994. BB King, Lou Reed, ZZ Top, James Brown, Robert Plant, Willie Nelson and Joe Cocker have performed at the leading US music festival in the past. 2025 will see the 31st anniversary of the festival.
Telluride Blues & Brews Festival 2025 Line Up

The full line up for the festival is here. Music genres will include blues, indie, funk, gospel, rock and soul. There will also be late night club shows, activities for the kids and morning yoga. The Black Crowes are headlining the 2025 Telluride Blues & Brews Festival.
Craft Beer and Cider
The festival is not just about the amazing music on offer. The festival gives you the opportunity to chat with the brewers, as well as join in tastings. Also a number of breweries will be offering limitless pours. Craft beer and cider producers at the festival will be announced here, where you can also purchase tickets.
Telluride
However, arguably the star of the show is the town of Telluride itself, with its amazing backdrop of Rocky Mountains and its monstrous peaks. The town has 300 days of sunshine to boot. When BB King played here in 2004 he was left speechless by its beauty, although fortunately not songless. In 1964 the town was declared a historic landmark and has a historical museum and well-preserved nineteenth century high street. The nearby Mesa Verde National Park includes the ruins of the Puebloan Native American civilisation. You can explore the area easily by bike or hiking.
