The Wonderfront Music and Arts Festival will feature many famous names including Kings of Leon and Gwen Stefani, in November, but perhaps the real star is the city of San Diego itself. There is also a free community stage.

Downtown San Diego boasts pleasant weather, even in November, waterfront parks and walkways. There are dozens of bars and restaurants, but combine them with several large marinas where the boat crews are ready to party and you have a great place for a festival.

Drop into this seven stages on which 80 artists will perform over the three days, and 30,000 tickets on sale then you have all the ingredients for a great experience. Music ranges fom rock to indie rock, hip hop, rap, reggae, country and Americana.

The festival will include yacht parties, local food, a craft beer village and art installations. Some of the proceeds go to the Rob Machado Foundation and Outdoor Outreach.
