  • Interested in Festivals in America?

Festivals in America encompass the whole of the two continents from the Rio Carnival to Mardi Gras. Mostly they seem to include lots of music and drinking, and plenty of fun

Best Music Festivals in the US

In the US, seemingly there are more music festivals than beer festivals – and that's saying something. Bluesapalooza, Outside Lands Music and ArtsAustin City Limits and Telluride Bluegrass Festival are a few of the best music festivals in the US. Feeling young? Try Coachella Valley, or if you want to freeze yourself to death then why not experience the Frozen Dead Guys Festival.

    Carnivals

We have all heard of the Rio Carnival. It's one enormous party, but Rio is not the only carnival in the Americas, far from it. The Panama Carnival, Costa Rica's Limon Carnival, Colombia's Barranquilla Carnival, or the Caribbean's Trinidad Carnival. are around the same time as Rio; just as much fun, you might just miss some of the crowds here.
    American Beer Festivals
The craft beer revolution started in America - well, you can't keep on drinking Bud can you? - so it comes as little surprise that there are a plethora of beer festivals across the country, including the Mammoth Festival of Beers and the Great American Beer Festival,  often with music.
    Food Festivals
There are also plenty of food festivals in America. One of the best is the Gilroy Garlic Festival in California.

    Cultural Festivals In America

Finally, the continents see numerous cultural festivals celebrating their great diversity. One of the more colourful is Colombia's Feria de las Flores, while both the Lord of Miracles in Peru and Mexico's Day of the Dead provide a cultural and religious insight into the region's peoples. Again in Colombia, La Feria de Cali (Cali Fair) is one of the biggest Salsa parties in South America, while in the USA the Kutztown Folk Festival draws crowds of over a hundred thousand each year.
