Landal GreenParks UK to Open First Coastal Property

Dutch brand sets its sights on the UK market with the launch of a third park in less than 12 months.

From January 2018 holidaymakers will have another opportunity to enjoy Landal GreenParks’ trademark hospitality thanks to the opening of the company’s third park in the UK, Landal Gwel an Mor. The park will join the company’s two current UK locations which opened earlier this year. Since joining the Landal GreenParks UK family, the two parks have seen a combined growth in bookings of over 25 per cent year on year. Landal Gwel an Mor will be the company’s first UK coastal park.

Situated on Cornwall’s north coast and featuring an impressive 87 luxury lodges, Landal Gwel an Mor will offer its customers the same exceptional service and encouragement to get back to nature and explore the local area that the 63 year old company is famed for.

The park is the ideal base for friends, families and couples to explore the surrounding areas, take full advantage of the nearby beaches, water sports, countryside and on-site activities or visit the newly transformed Tate St Ives, just 15 miles away, which reopened this month after a four-year refurbishment.

Those looking to get closer to nature will love the award-winning wildlife encounters at the on-site ‘Feadon Farm’, where the resident rangers will help guests get up close with local fauna through night walks, rock pooling, falconry and even fox feeding.

Robbie Davies, Head Of Development at Landal GreenParks UK commented: “We’re excited to welcome a coastal experience to our portfolio of parks in the UK and the long standing reputation of quality and excellence cultivated by Landal Gwel an Mor over the years is an ideal fit for our brand.  Since launching in the UK earlier this year, demand has surpassed all expectations and the opening of the new park represents a 50 per cent increase in our UK accommodation capacity in less than 12 months. Our considerable pace of investment will continue throughout 2018. Watch this space.”

Chief Executive of Gwel an Mor, Bill Haslam added: “Joining the Landal GreenParks family is an exciting new development in the history of our resort, which we have lovingly and organically grown over the last 10 years to become one of the UK’s favourite holiday destinations. We share the same vision, so look forward to now opening our resort up to new markets by joining forces with Landal to create a new phase of Gwel an Mor’s development and future”.

Landal Gwel an Mor will join the two current UK locations, Landal Darwin Forest situated on the edge of the Peak District National Park and Landal Kielder Waterside, set deep within Northumberland’s Kielder Water & Forest Park. Landal Gwel an Mor will be open for bookings with Landal GreenParks UK later this year.
