One Traveller, the experts in mature solo travel, has been announced as the Gold winner of ‘Best Singles Holiday Company’ at the prestigious British Travel Awards 2020 within the small company category, making this its seventh year of winning an award at the annual event.

Usually an extravagant gala ceremony, this year’s awards were announced on 14 December during a live virtual ceremony broadcast from London by TV presenter Alex Jones and comedian Pat Monahan.

One Traveller’s director Ian Darkin said: “It is an honour to receive this national award in this difficult year when travel has just not been possible. The public were voting on the basis of past experience and also on the customer care they received during 2020. We have worked hard to keep our guests entertained and supported with our online ‘Stay At Home’ and ‘Time to Dream’ pages that kept our guests engaged and busy planning for 2021. We look forward to turning those dreams into reality in 2021.”

One Traveller’s vast range of small group tours offer mature solo travellers the chance to visit destinations across Europe, Asia, Africa and North & South America, whilst having the reassurance of a One Traveller guide on hand throughout the trip from start to finish – perfect for any guests who might be a little nervous about travelling alone. To dispel those first-time traveller nerves even further, One Traveller offers ‘Pre-Holiday Get-Togethers’, providing guests with the opportunity to meet their like-minded, fellow travelling companions to break the ice and put names to faces before embarking on their holiday.

Guests can now also book with greater peace of mind knowing that the ‘One Promise’ initiative means a low deposit, all transfer fees waived on 2021 holidays prior to the balance payment date and that if the FCDO advice changes on date of departure, guests will receive a full refund. Additionally, there is no single supplement for rooms and the majority of meals and excursions are covered within the cost of the trip, ensuring a stress-free holiday.
