The beautiful Dee Valley AONB in North Wales is the latest home for an Unplugged cabin.

Marley opened on 1 August 2023 to become the 18th cabin in the Unplugged collection, but the first in the Principality.

Unplugged is the first “digital detox escape” in nature in the UK. The portfolio of properties offers “ultimate respite for tired, busy and burnt-out individuals, solo travellers and couples”. Like Marley many of the properties are set in stunning landscapes.

Upon arrival guests can lock their digital devices away for three nights. Their devices are then swapped for a old skool Nokia mobile, a map of the area and an instant film camera to take memories of your stay.

Unplugged claims that 72 hours is scientifically proven to provide sufficient time for guests to reap the rewards of their digital detox, and time away from their screens.

It improves sleep, focus, productivity and relationships from the increased creative thinking and daydreaming guests can enjoy from the extra time on their hands, they add.

The formula has proved a commercial success for Unplugged, with their properties running at more than 90% occupancy each month since April.
