Pavillon des Lettres Offers Gift of Literature this Christmas

With 26 rooms and suites each dedicated to a different letter of the alphabet – and in turn a great writer from European literary history – Pavillon des Lettres is Paris’ original literary hotel.

This festive season, Pavillon des Lettres will be treating guests to a literary present throughout the month of December. Guests staying at the hotel will get to pick a parcel from under the hotel’s twinkly Christmas tree. In keeping with the literary theme of Pavillon des Lettres, the hotel has partnered with ‘Blind Date with a Book’ to offer guests a book to take away and treasure.

Both companies, known for bringing people together through literature, will be gifting a ‘mystery’ book to enjoy on their travels. Guests will have the chance to choose from various genres, ranging from relatively-unknown novels to classics such as Shakespeare and Wilde.

Each parcel, hand wrapped with partridge paper and tagged with clues alluding to what can be found inside, makes for a fun way to find your next holiday read without judging by its cover – encouraging guests put preconceptions aside and indulge in a blind date of a different sort.

“When people see the Blind Date with a Book it tends to stop new and seasoned readers in their tracks and instantly intrigue them. Experienced readers love it as it allows them to step out of their comfort zone and not judge a book by its cover and new readers don’t feel overwhelmed by a huge selection of books,” says Founder Rory.

Offer for any booking in a Deluxe or Junior Suite category for any stay between the December 12 and January 1 for a minimum two nights. Subject to stock availability, English books only.
