Pisco Sour, Chocolate Masterclasses in Peru

VIVID Travel has introduced a new South American adventure designed to help holidaymakers experience the highlights of Peru in under a fortnight. Recognising that travellers are increasingly keen to combine activities, culture and comfort while away, the action-packed new tour incorporates visits to the country’s most famous destinations as well as memorable encounters with locals.

A chocolate workshop and Pisco Sour masterclass give the tour of Lima an unforgettable twist, before the adventure gets truly underway. From here holidaymakers will see a different side of the Sacred Valley as they cycle through jaw-dropping natural landscapes and kayak on Huaypo Lake, set against the snow-capped backdrop of the Andean mountains.

No trip to Peru would be complete without a Machu Picchu hike and the promise of being rewarded with the best views down to the ancient citadel, before relaxing on two scenic train rides through unspoiled countryside. The first journey leads to Cuzco – the perfect spot to explore more Incan marvels – while the second heads towards the Bolivian border and the chance to kayak amongst the floating islands of Lake Titicaca; the continent’s largest lake and the highest navigable body of water in the world.

Prices for the new 13-day Landscapes of the Andean Highlands tour of Peru start from £2,895 per person, including international flights, transfers, accommodation and seven tour experiences, from kayaking and Machu Picchu entrance to city tours of Lima and Cuzco.
