Sri Lanka: Culture, Cricket & No Ball Tampering

Sri Lanka

Following the nuclear fallout after the Australia Cricket ball tampering scandal, normal service has been resumed in the cricket world and, later in the year, the England team will be heading to Sri Lanka for five ODI games, three Tests and one T20 match.

Some of the matches also coincide with the October half-term, providing the opportunity to take the entire family to join the Barmy Army.

Why not treat yourself to the trip of a lifetime, by combining a cultural tour of ‘Buddha’s Island’ with some cricket action on a bespoke holiday organised by specialist operator Bamboo Travel?

Bamboo offers a choice of nine different itineraries to Sri Lanka, from 12 to 24 days in duration – and three of them have been designed specifically with families in mind.

All the tours, which are on a private basis, are merely recommendations, and each can be tailor-made to meet personal requirements – or to accommodate any of England’s tour matches which will be taking place in the capital, Colombo, Galle, Dambulla and Pallekele (near Kandy).  To see all the England fixture in Sri Lanka CLICK HERE.

Bamboo Travel can also source tickets ahead of travel – though you can see inside the Galle ground for free from the walls of the famous fort!.

Here is an example of one of Bamboo Travel’s more popular itineraries, which can be tweaked to include in some cricket action:
