Welcome Black Rhinos to Their New Home

In the first cross-border translocation undertaken by WWF’s Black Rhino Range Expansion Project and in collaboration with African Parks, 17 black rhinos have travelled over 2,244 km, from South Africa to Liwonde National Park in Malawi, in one of the largest international translocations to date.

This is a huge step forward in efforts to conserve the critically endangered species.
