This no-fly tour epitomizes slow travel. Sit back and enjoy the journey as you travel from London to Nice by train. Then sail to Corsica for a fortnight’s escorted tour of the Mediterranean island. Then continue your voyage by rail staying at Ajaccio, Bastia and Calvi, while enjoying the stunning scenery along the way.

The Splendour of Corsica departs on 15 June and 6 September 2022. Prices range from £2,475pp, and include travel, accommodation, seven-day travel card for unlimited travel on Corsica’s railways, and full-day guided excursion to Cap Corse.

Explore France by Train: Ligne des Causses & the Vivarais

Travel from London to France by Eurostar to pick up the Ligne des Causses railway – the longest long-distance single-track line in France. It will take a day to travel from Clermont-Ferrand to travel to Beziers across the Massif Central up to 1,100 metres, so sit back and enjoy the ride. Highlights include the Gustave Eiffel designed Viaduc de Garabit, across the river Truyère, and the descent into Tarn. This tour continues by rail to Tournon to explore the Vivarais rail network, with steam and vintage trains.

The seven-day tour departs on 13 September 2022. Prices are from £1,625pp including all rail travel, accommodation, and two days on the Vivarais network.
