Early Start for the New Forest Tour

The famous New Forest Tour will hit the road early this year, running from Saturday 29 May, right through until Sunday 12 September.

So leave the car behind and choose from the three routes, Red, Green and Blue, and hop on and off at leisure, switching routes is so desired; there are interchange points at Brockenhurst and Lymington (Blue/Green), Burley (Blue/Red)  and Lyndhurst (Green/Red).

The three routes cover all the best parts of the forest, so just sit back and enjoy the towns, villages, ponies, donkeys and spectacular scenery from an elevated position on the top deck (remember to bring something warm, just in case!).

As you gently cruise through the forest, there is an onboard audio commentary – with characters, sounds and music, bringing the view to life – with some fascinating facts about the national park.

A Tour ticket gives access to discount at Beaulieu National Motor Museum, the New Forest Wildlife Park, and offers from local businesses participating in the Go New Forest Card scheme (CLICK HERE for details).

There is even space on board for up to four bicycles, for any tired cyclists that need a lift (the bikes go free), and well-behaved dogs are also welcome.

Tickets can be purchased on the day from the driver, in advance online, or from campsites, holiday parks and other popular sites.

Multi-day tickets are great value, and you can enjoy each route in full on separate days, at a more leisurely pace.

If travelling from Southampton, the ferry is free if you buy a combination ticket for the ferry and Tour bus. Connecting bus services are also free if you buy a Tour ticket from the service bus driver.

Please note that, due to the current situation, entrance to forest attractions should be booked in advance of arrival, also due to the ongoing Coronavirus situation, passengers must wear a face covering and maintain social distancing when travelling on the New Forest Tour, unless exempt by law.
