Interested in Indonesia?

Located in Southeast Asia along the equator, Indonesia is with over 17,000 islands the world’s biggest island state exceeding all of your expectations where a magnificent nature consists of volcanoes, paradisiacal beaches, green rice paddies, and jungles filled with wildlife. But it’s equally famous for its grand temples, gamelan music with colourful rituals and dances, and vibrant cities. Home to the biggest Muslim population in the world, there are also hundreds of other ethnicities.

Indonesia capital

The sprawling megacity Jakarta is the country’s capital on the island of Java. Less known by travellers than much smaller Yogyakarta, it’s well worth visiting for the Old Batavia quarters with its Fatahillah Square and museums.

Indonesia Bali

The island of Bali is where most travellers end up and not without reason. Stunning nature combines here with centuries-old culture and well developed tourist facilities. Other famous island destinations include Lombok, Sulawesi and Sumatra.

Indonesia time

There are three time zones: UTC + 7, +8 and +9.
