Walk the Scilly Isles in April

 

Prestige Holidays is urging walkers to pack their boots for an April getaway to the Isles of Scilly during the annual ‘Walk Scilly’ festival held from April 4 to 14. The 11-day programme features 37 guided walks across nine islands and includes: foraging forays, island ‘Top to Toes’plus farm walks, pacey hikes around St. Mary’s, St, Martin’s and Tresco, as well as a sensory amble around St. Agnes and a stargazing walk on St. Martin’s.

Uninhabited islands to be explored this year include: Samson, St. Helen’s, Nornour and Tean. Plus, for families, and timed to coincide with the Easter holidays, there’s a walk to celebrate the wonderful story of the Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch by Ronda Armitage, a stroll in the footsteps of Michael Morpurgo on Bryher, rockpool and wildlife discoveries and a Bat Detective walk, complete with bat detective kits.
